The Wall TV:Joseph Semah (KMB Let's Talk interview series)

Artist Joseph Semah explores Hebrew text in art history, Kochi's cosmopolitanism and his first impressions of the city. Born in Iraq but raised in Israel followed by his 'self-imposed exile' to London, Berlin, Paris has come to influence his body of art. By explaining his thought process in Hebrew, Semah describes the collation of footnotes in the form of objects, drawings and paintings, and the significance these came to have for his art. Kochi, or 'paradise on earth' as Semah calls it, holds special for its diverse range and number of denominations in one place. He discusses Kochi's potential role as an 'academy of tolerance', from which other cities and countries could learn.
